ATIAHARA - 2007 Excavations - Siobhan Durcan
Name: Siobhan Marie Durcan
Born: 30/1/1986
Home Town: Timaru, New Zealand
Occupation: Student, University of Otago. Will complete my double degree - a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts in Archaeology - at the end of 2008.
The Future: As yet undecided whether I will do my honours in Archaeology in 2009. I hope to eventually work in the area of historic/cultural managment, thus utilising both my degrees.
What brought me to Tubuai: It seemed like too good an opportunity to miss out on! Turned out I was right - had an amazing two months, learnt so much and increased my passion for archaeology!
Top excavation moment: Finding a whale tooth pendant (finally!) on my second last day... fantastic way to end a great dig!
